Driver Carlos Sainz, a highlight of team Renault’s F1 season, has signed a helmet that was customized by artist Schock Maravilha in honor of Ayrton Senna, in an action supported by Estrella Galícia 0,0. This Friday, in Interlagos, a few days before the Brazilian GP, the Spanish driver unveiled the helmet at the Interlagos paddock.

Sainz made sure to stress his admiration for the Brazilian driver. “Senna is a legend, and he has a place in the heart of every Brazilian. I love feeling the atmosphere provided by the Brazilian audience, and we can feel Ayrton’s presence at the circuit on each corner. I was born in ’94, the year Ayrton left us, but I still consider him the best driver ever”, said Sainz, who is in his third full F1 season.

A star of Brazilian street-art, Shock was inspired by traits of the Brazilian idol, such as humility, joy and a never-ending pursuit of perfection. The colors of the helmet were drawn from the Brazilian flag and the iconic helmet  worn by Senna.
