Ayrton Senna’s second win came at the 1985 Belgian GP. The main challenge faced by the drivers was the fact that the race at Spa-Francorchamps started on a wet track and finished with it almost dry. The Lotus driver started in second place, after posting a time just 0s097 slower than Prost’s during the qualifying sessions.

The Brazilian led for 42 of the 43 laps, but still had to beautifully overtake Nigel Mansell (Williams), Thierry Boutsen and his own Lotus teammate, Elio de Angelis.
